Your privacy matters to us
OLDPUG (Off Leash Dog Parks Users Group) is a community-run initiative in Regina, SK. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. This is a plain-language summary intended for our community and is not legal advice.
What we collect
- Volunteer form details: your name, email, optional phone, interests, availability, and any notes you provide.
- Emails you send us: if you contact us, well receive your email and any included information.
- Basic site logs: our hosting may keep standard server logs (e.g., IP address and timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To organize volunteer activities and respond to your messages.
- To share project updates or opportunities if you opt in (or if it’s a reasonable follow-up to your request).
- To keep our site secure and diagnose issues (via hosting logs).
Legal basis & consent (Canada)
We operate with consent and reasonable purposes under Canadian privacy principles (e.g., PIPEDA). By submitting the volunteer form or emailing us, you consent to our use of that information for the stated purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing your information
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We may share minimal details with trusted organizers or board members strictly to coordinate OLDPUG activities.
- We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or to protect our community and site.
Retention
Volunteer submissions and related emails are kept as long as needed to coordinate activities and maintain records. We periodically review and remove information that’s no longer needed.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards (limited access, email best practices, server protections) appropriate to a small community organization. No method is 100% secure, but we take care to protect your information.

- Embedded content (e.g., YouTube videos) and external links (e.g., social media) may set their own cookies. Their policies apply when you interact with them.
- We currently use a simple “honeypot” to reduce spam on the volunteer form (no reCAPTCHA).
